Mobile Access - "Open Sesame!"

Already existing access and locking systems can be integrated into the mobile terminal unit with no great effort using M-Access. The digital keys are administered centrally and delivered to the authorized users or cancelled via wireless transmission. The big advantage: Access to rooms can not only be granted but limited to a certain time period and calculated.

You want to know how these mobile access controls work? Please see for yourself – here is an example of a parking garage:

Step 1:

Central code management

Information on authorized multi- storey car park users is stored in a central application - users are sent their entrance codes for the car park by SMS.

Step 2:

Autentification

When the customer drives into the multi-storey car park, he/she activates the car park ID system by pressing a button on his/her mobile phone, then holds the mobile phone display up briefly in front of the reading device.

Step 3:

Validation

The driver is given the go-ahead: As soon as the driver`s access permission has been validated, the barrier is opened by the automatic gate system. At the same time, entrance to the car  park is registered for fee accounting.

If required, higher security levels can be implemented:

  • Transmission of the mobile phone`s unique IMEI serial number (International Mobile Equipment Identity) combined with the phone`s PIN code allows exclusive identification with one single terminal device.
  • Two-factor authentication with a software authenticator, e.g. RSA Secur D, which changes the access key automatically every 60 seconds.
